What did GOD feel?

If this doesn’t change your heart, I don’t know what will.
John 3:16– 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 – The Story of Love

While searching for some Christian shirts on facebook, I stumbled upon this post. I know it wasn’t an accident.

Have you ever felt that there are times when we are just too familiar with the Gospel that we become numb about it? We no longer feel the impact it has, the power of the message. Well, I’ve been there already. So I constantly pray to God to break that familiarity, that everything that will happen will just be refreshing and powerful and the impact will be like as if I never knew those things! So here it is, I came across this video.

When we talk of the Gospel, our focus is always on Jesus. Yes, the Gospel is about Jesus, that is true. But haven’t you noticed how the way we look at it is always two dimensional? What Jesus did and…

Do you blame God for the misfortune?

This is a very good piece on the question we hear from everyone…From devoted Christians to unbeliever’s!! May it bless you as much as it did me!

Uplifting Christ

doubtingIn 2005, about 20 people from same local church died in motor accident around 4.30pm when they were returning from funeral in Ghana. The question some people at the scene asked was “why didn’t God protect them from the accident?”

Do you blame God for the misfortune?

I know this is kind of freaky question but it is worth asking because it is easy to blame God for the pains we go through. Some even doubt the fact that God care about their lives. They hold this view, among others, that if God really cares, why would He allow pains and sufferings to come upon them.
They blame God for the negative things that happen around the globe, which is in contrast to what the scripture says that “Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father”. God loves us (John 3:16) so much…

This is the Air I Breathe—- Worshipping

I don’t know about you, but up until about a year ago I had NEVER taken the time to praise God. I mean don’t get me wrong I would give him a “Thank God”. But, mostly as I look at it now it was more of a slang without any meaning behind it.

I started to attend a church 2 x a month and they did everything differently. They sang music giving glory to God with a worship band. As I continued to go and learn the songs, I got lost in it.

It’s like hearing a song on the radio, that describes your heartbreak, or your joy, and you sing it at the top of your lungs because you are connecting to that song, your heart is connecting to that song, you know that feeling?? Don’t you??

Well, this is just like that but what you are connecting to is your love and gratitude for the Lord and all he has done for you, and continues to do for all of us. It is praising him.

Psalms 29:2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.

Psalms 95:6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!

Psalms 99:5 Exalt the LORD our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!

When we worship it is being in his presence, it is refreshing your soul and allowing God and his glory to be your sole focus. It is just awesome. If you have never worshipped in this way, I highly suggest it.

1. Turn on a song that glorifies God, in your car, on your computer, headphones.

2. If your like me, you might be more conservative about that kind of “let yourself go” worship, so maybe do it in privacy.

3. Close your eyes, and listen to the words, contemplate the Lord and what he means to you, praise him for what he has done for you, feel his presence in your heart.

4. When you do this on a regular basis you will get more comfortable with it, and it will be easier for you to let go and allow your guard to be down, and let him consume you heart.

I have posted here a really good worship song, I will continue to post songs every couple of days, in case you do not know where to find good worship songs.

I pray you enjoy this song and learn to worship. You will not be sorry, and it will help you get too know the Lord on a more intimate level.

“My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Even the sparrow has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself where she may lay her young—
Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts,
My King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house.” Psalm 84:2-4

Unloading the Burden of Unforgiveness

Forgiveness is one of the key pieces to salvation. Why is it so hard to forgive? For myself I would say it’s less about being hard to forgive and more about protecting myself. I am sure the world at large … Continue reading

Oh How He Loves Us

Remember when…..You felt ” IN LOVE” for the first time. It was just almost more than you could take, butterflies in your stomach. That person is all you can think about, when you will be with them next?

My first love was older than me and I was smitten. I was all in 150%. He would say things like we’ll be together forever, the mere thought that some one loved me like that just made me euphoric, I never wanted it to end.

One day that person you loved and loved you, turns out to be human, they have faults, they let you down and your heart gets broken. Not only broken, but ultimately you are never the same, you never fully love like that again. Not without a guard being up to some point, so that you never feel the pain of bearing your whole heart to some one again.

My first boyfriend dumped me, he went from saying he would love me forever, to acting as if he didn’t even know I existed. I cried for a month. My mom was concerned about me.

When I met my husband I was willing to give all my heart again, but he had a lot of tragedy in his life that changed him as well, and his heart wasn’t totally available to me.

When I found Christ and gave him my heart, I hadn’t felt that kind of excitement and unbridled love since all those years ago when I was a young woman.

One day I was here at the store, it was quiet and I was just sitting here thinking about how in love I was with this Jesus and how overwhelming his love felt to me. I heard a quiet voice say ” You went through all the heart ache so that when I revealed my unconditional love to you, you would appreciate every little bit”. I stood and cried as I reflected on how God has been with me all along and how he was working all things out for good.

I have given my whole heart to him, and haven’t regretted it for a single moment. I have NEVER felt unconditional, unending love, like I do from my father Jesus Christ. Once you have felt that loving spirit, I promise you will never turn back. There is not a thing in this world that can compare.

This song is played by a worship group in a church I attend 2 x a month, and I again saw it on a blog today from http://proverbsgirl.wordpress.com/2013/06/22/how-he-loves-us-kim-walker-jesus-culture/

It inspired me to write about how his love feels. This song and video shows the intensity and overwhelming feeling of his love!

My prayer today is that you step into his realm of love that will fill you up now and forever!

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

1 John 4:9-11 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Worthy of Trust

in-god-we-trustWho can you trust anymore? In 2013 Trust has almost been completely depleted in every area.
My friend Marlana and I were having our morning talk and coffee as we discussed our weekends and how we were feeling spiritually. I was telling her how I had been convicted over the weekend as to my prayer life that it was lacking. Two weeks prior she had given me a book called Psalm 91 By: Peggy Joyce Ruth. I hadn’t read it yet, but over the weekend I picked it up and started to read it. The entire book which is 168 Pages is on that one Psalm. I told Marlana how I was reading it and how God promises us thru Jesus Christ all the power and authority through Christ it is up to us just like salvation, to accept it and apply it, and also to believe and trust that nothing that God says comes back void. Luke 21: 31-32

32Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
I said to her I have to learn to trust him with EVERYTHING which seems so un natural, but EVERYTHING down to asking him to bless the meal I am about to eat, and praising him in all that he has afforded me, the bed I sleep in, good health, clean water, clothes on my back.

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

She replied to that well that’s the core of every relationship, “TRUST”. A child trusts his or her parents, a husband and wife are to trust each other. Relationships are defined by trust. This is certainly something I know, but it hit me in a way I hadn’t thought about before. My relationship with God. He wants us to trust him, just as we want our spouses and children to trust us. How can we have a good relationship with God if we are always afraid of the things of this world? When we need something? I would feel horrible as a parent if my kids were always having anxiety over the next meal and every other thing that came up in their day. We as parents are there to take care of them, keep them safe, make sure they’re needs are being met.

That is God to us. Yet we are always having anxiety, trying to figure things out, what are we going to do next in our marriage, careers, solving money problems. We are not communing with him for everything. He’s not bothered by our needs, just as we are not bothered with the needs of our children. I often tell my girls that they can tell me anything, that I am always there to guide them with decisions about school, friends etc.

Our relationship with God is built on trust. A beautiful golden nugget hiding in plain sight.

I pray to the Lord that no one hears these words at the second coming

Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

He wants a TRUSTING RELATIONSHIP with us. Are we only doing the deeds? Working the Church picnic’s? Wearing a cross on a bracelet, or a necklace? A picture of the Last supper in our home? Not that those things are bad they are not they are wonderful, but only if you have a rich, trusting, loving, relationship. Does he know you? Personally? Have you spent time with him? Today is the day to start. So on that day he will see you and be delighted to be together with you. One who has sought him in everything, good, bad and indifferent.

Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth: We Gotta Talk About It

This is a difficult subject- This post was so good, I could never do this topic the justice it deserves like this did. I pray that this reach you.

PROJECT: Awaken.

Matthew 13:42 “They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

We gotta talk about this. When we witness to others, when we attempt to disciple in the name of Jesus, we talk about salvation. But do we talk about the alternative?

Frequently, Christians come in contact with people who are Atheists or have an alternative vision of God that has evolved with society, and “modernized.” Some may say, “well, I don’t think that Hell exists because there’s too much suffering in the world and God is about love and salvation.” Sometimes as Christians, we face much more harsh language that often insults our intellectual quotient. And when a discussion begins to digress, offer up this: “What if you are wrong?”

Think of it – let’s just entertain the idea for a moment that Christians have it all…
