Love Transcending

Love Transcending

I’ve been listening to this song “Let my Life be the proof of your love”. I even think I have posted it before. But, the last few days, I just can’t stop listening to it, something about it is resonating so deep within my soul, it’s almost as if God is revealing a story to me. A story about His love. What’s wonderful about getting to know God is that something as simple as a word that we have heard over and over again our whole lives, He can peel that word like an onion and show us a layer we have never seen before.

Jesus was a living manifestation of God. Everything God embodies was the living Christ. Jesus IS love. Everything He did in the 33 years he walked this earth was done in love, for love, was love. The song has a line ” How you lived, how you died, love is sacrifice”.

How He lived- gentle, kind, patient, forgiving.
How He died- His last words on the cross, where he was dying a brutal death for our sins, was “Forgive them Father they know not what they do”.
Love is sacrifice- death for another

Let love motivate your actions, let “loving thy neighbor” supersede all things. What a wonderful world we could live in. Heaven on earth. That love can start with you, with me. One person can start a wildfire of love in others. Imagine how the world can be changed one person at a time.

Let, my life, and your life be the proof of HIS love.

“The Proof Of Your Love”

If I sing but don’t have love
I waste my breathe with every song
I bring, an empty voice
A hollow noise

If I speak with a silver tongue
Convince a crowd but don’t have love
I leave a bitter taste
With every word I say

So let my life be the proof
The proof of Your love
Let my love look like You
And what You’re made of
How you lived, how You died
Love is sacrifice
So let my life be the proof
The proof of Your love

If I give to a needy soul
But don’t have love then who is poor
It seems all the poverty
Is found in me

Ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
When it’s all said and done
Ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
When we sing our final song

Only love remains
Only love remains

If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. (1 Corinthians 13:1-7, The Message)
