Holy Spirit Leading ( Daniel 8 )

Sometimes I come across things and I have no idea why. Then a day or two later I will see it again. Sometimes it’s a word, a picture, a scripture.

Although I know it is the Holy Spirit leading, at the time I don’t know what it means. I realized in a couple of my other blogs over the last few months, I was having leading dreams, but I wasn’t sure what they meant.

I had a dream about Joan of Arc, I write about it in the blog post “Joan”. One of the things I noticed after God leading me to Daniel 3( I wrote about in “Fiery Furnace”) I made a reference to Daniel in the “Joan” post. That the dream needed interpretation like King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.

I pondered it, two references to Daniel. So, this morning I am getting ready to listen to my bible on audio, like I do every morning while getting ready, I asked the Lord, what would you have me read, and He gave me the impression I needed to stay in Daniel. I asked Lord, where in Daniel? Chapter 8 came to mind, so I turned to it, and it was Daniel’s Vision of the ram and the goat. I don’t recall reading this before. As I listened to it, I could see the Goat being the United States, and Gabriel the messenger, kept assuring Daniel that this vision was for the end of days. He mentions that 2 or 3 times. But, then Gabriel identifies the goat as being Greece, so I discounted how I was interpreting it as I was listening.

One thing that came to mind was that my daughter’s name is Gabrielle and she has been going to physical therapy, and the therapist has been referring to her as Gabrielle the messenger.

So, my thoughts are was that planted in my mind by the holy spirit as a confirmation of what I was to read in Daniel 8?

Also, yesterday I was reading an article, and the word maritime was in it. I kept thinking what does that mean, I have never seen that word before, but I brushed it off.

Today, I get to the store and look up Daniel 8 interpretations and the first link that comes up says, was Daniel 8 only partially fulfilled with Alexander the great? Is the goat of Daniel 8 the United States?

So, of course I clicked on the link, interesting info, and had the word, maritime in it. Now I have seen that word 2 x in 2 days, that I had never seen before. I looked up the maritime definition :

bordering on the sea: maritime provinces.

living near or in the sea: maritime plants.

I don’t know what all these clues mean, but one more thing comes to mind, about the destruction of Babylon.

Revelation 18:18-20

Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off. 18When they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim, ‘Was there ever a city like this great city?’ 19They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out:

“ ‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,

where all who had ships on the sea

became rich through her wealth!

In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’

20“Rejoice over her, you heavens!

Rejoice, you people of God!

Rejoice, apostles and prophets!

For God has judged her

with the judgment she imposed on you.”

I am no scholar, or bible interpreter, I am just writing what the Holy Spirit is leading me to. Also, this helps me, when future things come up, I can look back and reflect on what God has shown me.
