This is such a relevant subject for young and old alike on so many levels. Let me start by acknowledging that it is no secret that we are living in a technological age. Our kids have better texting skills than verbal communication skills by a long shot. Technology is changing at such a rapid pace that a cell phone you bought 2 years ago can be obsolete. It’s hard to keep up with.
In walks an RFID chip for those who are not familiar let me give you the proper definition —
Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the wireless non-contact use of radio-frequency electromagnetic fields to transfer data, for the purposes of automatically identifying and tracking tags attached to objects. The tags contain electronically stored information. Some tags are powered by and read at short ranges (a few meters) via magnetic fields (electromagnetic induction). Others use a local power source such as a battery, or else have no battery but collect energy from the interrogating EM field, and then act as a passive transponder to emit microwaves or UHF radio waves (i.e., electromagnetic radiation at high frequencies). Battery powered tags may operate at hundreds of meters. Unlike a bar code, the tag does not necessarily need to be within line of sight of the reader, and may be embedded in the tracked object.
RFID tags are used in many industries. An RFID tag attached to an automobile during production can be used to track its progress through the assembly line. Pharmaceuticals can be tracked through warehouses. Livestock and pets may have tags injected, allowing positive identification of the animal. On off-shore oil and gas platforms, RFID tags are worn by personnel as a safety measure, allowing them to be located 24 hours a day and to be quickly found in emergencies.

Okay, so there you go this is mainstream even if you have not heard of it until now. It is in credit cards which has caused great concern because they are easily accessed and identity theft is prevalent. ( http://southmilwaukeepd.org/pdf/ID%20Theft%20RFID.pdf) Some states have already implemented them into their drivers licenses (http://www.leftlanenews.com/four-states-to-use-rfid-chips-in-drivers-licenses.html). So we can see how this is progressing, and how wide spread they are used.
I come across a headline about a family in San Antonio, Texas who is refusing to allow their children to wear a id badge with an imbedded rfid chip in it.http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2013/01/after-refusing-any-id-even-without-rfid-texas-student-kicked-out-of-school/
The school district is implementing them into this school due to low attendance rate. Children are now mandated to wear them to enable them to participate in certain functions throughout the school, i.e. Lunch, Library books, attendance. So, if not taken the student cannot participate in key school functions. Does any of this sound familiar to any of my blogging friends? Or Blog readers?
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.
Will there come a time in the very near future, where technonlogy will have advanced to the point that all things will be dealt with ( Credit cards, Identification, Bank Accounts) Will all be easily accessed by one rfid chip that will VOLUNTARILY be inserted into our bodies? I stress Voluntarily, because just like the school student who can refuse it, but cannot participate in any essential school activities. Do you see where I am going with this? This is in the very near future. They are also being used in animals for years now-
( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microchip_implant_(animal) )
RFID chips are also being used in Alzheimer’s patients- ( http://www.geek.com/news/rfid-chips-used-to-track-alzheimers-patients-1374311/)
Let me ask everyone reading this to think about this. Will you accept a RFID chip into your person? If it is the only way to do business, feed your family, receive medical attention? Here is the scripture that tells us what God thinks about people receiving this mark.
Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation.
And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:9-11)
God instructs us specifically not to do it, and what the consequences are if we do. This blog post is not to scare anyone, it is to inform you. When that day comes, would you know what to do? Will you be strong enough in your faith to refuse it? It won’t be an easy decision to make, but it will be the right one.
I am looking forward to the dialogue on this subject from believer’s and non believer’s alike. God Bless
